Paul Taylor is a British sculptor and painter living and working in Jerusalem. In this film he speaks about his Fat Man series — a forty-year meditation on human greed, environmental collapse, and the folly of modern civilisation. He wants his work to say something, to move the viewer — not just a pretty flower. Through steel, graphite and fire, he creates from passion, intensity, and a refusal to yield to despair. Jerusalem, he says, is the alchemic centre of the world. Making art here is not incidental to the work. It is the work.
A quiet note when a new film is released. Nothing else.
